Residents came to hear five state and county candidates

The candidates attending included:  Olivia Babis, State Senate Dist. 23; Tony Mowry, House Dist. 74; Wesley Beggs, Sarasota County Commission Dist 4; Nick Guy, Sarasota County School Board Dist. 1; and Jane Goodwin, Sarasota Count School Board Dist 5.

(Ruta Jouniari, Sarasota County Commission Dist. 2 and 
Shirley Brown, Sarasota County School Board Dist 4 had planned to be there but were unable to be.)

Englewood Indivisible had previously endorsed all 7 candidates.  

We wrote 1,000 postcard invitations to North Port voters and a number of the people who attended said they'd learned of the event by postcard!

Our members provided beautiful refreshments -- and afterwards picked everything up every last scrap of evidence that we were there.
