March 9, 2021. Alice White, a member of Englewood Indivisible won a special election March 9th for the North Port City Commission (District 1). White won convincingly! According to the Sun, she won 60% of the vote against two opponents!

There is no secret to Alice's success: it was her hard work reaching out to voters, both in this campaign and in her earlier campaign for County Commission. What is unusual in our red corner of the world is the election of a candidate who's not beholden to polluters or developers. Congratulations, Alice!
